I'm pretty sure they did. CB and I got up bright and early for the ER this morning. After braving crazy icy roads, I was escorted to the "IVF Suite" oh la la and given a cap, gown, robe and booties. We waited around for a minute, met with the doctor and the nurse anethestist and then I said goodbye to CB. He went off to read magazines and I went into the procedure room. I didn't look around too much because it all looked pretty freaky.
The drugs guy put in my IV and started telling me about this antitrust case he was involved in. I didn't really get to hear the rest of the story before passing out. The next thing I remembered was the nurse calling my name and waking me up. Oh and telling me that we got TWENTY SIX eggs. Holy crap - no wonder I was so uncomfortable.
I spent the rest of the day sleeping, working and watching television. I feel like I could back to sleep. I'm a bit crampy and very bloated, but I think I actually feel better than I did this time yesterday.
So now, please, let's have ONE (or maybe 2) of those 26 eggs turn into a happy and implantable embryo.
26 eggs! That is great! Good luck on your fert report!
